Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enrol my child at Sprouts Early Learning?

We have full-time and part-time places available now. Families who enrol part-time are asked to choose either a Friday or a Monday as a part of their package.

You can enrol online via our website or contact our centres directly to arrange a tour and complete the enrolment forms. We will work with you to maximise subsidised session hours to support your Childcare Subsidy entitlement.

What does my child need to bring to child care?

We encourage parents to pack extra sets of clothes, things children can play in and be physical. On a cold day please pack coats, hats and a hoodie or jumper. If your child is toilet training please support your child’s dignity by including additional clothes and undies. Please bring a hat and a drink bottle. Please include your child’s name on anything they bring to the centre.

Does Sprouts Early Learning provide meals, snacks, and nappies?

Your daily fee covers nappies, sunscreen, and all meals, morning tea, cooked lunch, afternoon tea, and late snacks. Our menu meets the National Dietary Guidelines and covers 80% of children’s daily nutritional requirements.

What are the childcare fees at Sprouts Early Learning?

Fees vary depending on age group and number of days. Parents may also be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) through the Australian Government. Contact us to get a detailed fee schedule.

What are the opening hours of Sprouts Early Learning?

Please check our centre pages for their individual opening hours. All Sprouts Early Learning services are open all 52 weeks of the year. We close early at 4 PM on Christmas Eve and 4 PM on New Year’s Eve when they fall on a weekday. This supports our teams with their family preparations for the holidays.

What curriculum does Sprouts Early Learning follow?

We follow a play-based early learning curriculum, focusing on creativity, literacy, numeracy, social skills, and school readiness for preschoolers.

Can Sprouts Early Learning Cater for allergies, intolerances and cultural needs?

For children with health requirements, we create medical action plans to support their specific needs – this becomes the tool to communicate throughout the service. Children with cultural or dietary requirements are catered for individually.

How experienced are the educators at Sprouts Early Learning?

Our accredited educators bring extensive childcare experience, a passion for early learning, and a commitment to providing individual attention to every child.

What happens if my scheduled attendance falls on a public holiday?

Sprouts Early Learning services close for public holidays and as per the National Employment Standards we continue to pay our full time and part time team members. If your scheduled booked day falls on a public holiday, fees will still apply as staff and operating costs still need to be covered. The Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS) covers up to 42 absence days a year, which includes public holidays. Thus, unless you exceed this quota, you will be eligible for the CCS discount on public holidays.

What do I do if my child is sick?

The centre is not able to care for unwell children as it has to protect all children and educators attending the centre.  If your child has an infectious disease they will be excluded from the centre in accordance with the Staying Healthy in Childcare and the National health guidelines.

Fees apply for sick days, however Child Care Subsidy supports up to 42 absence days a year with no documentation and unlimited sick days with the provision of a medical certificate or similar.

What is the child-to-educator ratio at Sprouts Early Learning?

We maintain high child to educator ratios that meet WA childcare regulations, and ensure each child receives personalised care and supervision.

Is Sprouts Early Learning accredited?

Yes, our centres meet the National Quality Standard (NQS) and are licensed under WA childcare regulation.

What is the Child Care Subsidy?

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a payment offered by the Australian Government for eligible families. To find out if you are eligible for CSS, please visit the Department of Human Services website humanservices.gov.au.

Depending on your personal circumstances, there may also be other government funding available. Speak to Donna donna@sproutselc.com.au or your Centre Director for more information.
